Mayor Brandon Scott has officially launched the Baltimore Young Family Success Fund. The application process is now closed.
CASH has begun notifications to selected participants. Notification emails were sent out on June 8 and every selected participant will receive a call directly from CASH over the next few weeks. Please do not contact CASH or any of the partners directly; we will contact all participants.
CASH is verifying eligibility for the program; selected participants should be prepared to documents that they meet the below requirements:
- Baltimore City resident
- Parent/guardian with full or partial care-taking responsibility of a child (does not include those pregnant with their first child)
- 18-24 years old
- Household income less than 300% of the federal poverty level
What is next?
- The onboarding and approval process is expected to take 4-6 weeks (early June to mid-July). After this point, applicants that provided an email contact in their application and were not selected for the pilot will be notified. The Baltimore Young Families Success Fund’s website will also be updated to note once the pilot is filled, and all participants have been identified and onboarded.
- Payments to participants will begin in late Summer 2022.

If you have older tax returns from 2018 – 2021 that still need to be filed, please sign up to be contacted for future tax clinics happening later in 2022. Please note that we can only serve households with income below $58,000.

File Taxes On Your Own
You can file your own taxes with some help from CASH! Check out our new page dedicated to tax filing tools and “how to” videos that can help you through the process. Many of these tools are free, but some charge a small fee and have income restrictions. All of these tools will allow you to file your own state and federal taxes. We even have links to. The CASH Campaign of Maryland (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) is a newly formed nonprofit organization that is the result of a recent merger between the CASH Campaigns of Baltimore and Maryland. As long time partners and allies, these programs joined forces to create one unified organization in July 2017.
The CASH Campaign of Maryland promotes economic advancement for low-to-moderate income individuals and families in Baltimore and across Maryland. CASH accomplishes its mission through operating a portfolio of direct service programs, building organizational and field capacity, and leading policy and advocacy initiatives to strengthen family economic stability.
