April 23, 2024 Conference
The 2024 summit was held virtually on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024.
The Financial Education Summit was a free one-day event for all financial educators, researchers, and community leaders who offered financial education in Maryland to come together. Attendees navigated through up-to-date research, practices, and insights in the financial education field. While Maryland was one of the richest states in the nation, practitioners in the field understood that equitable and accessible financial education was more important than ever. Yet, with changes every year in policy and tools, it was often difficult to stay updated.
The summit provided an opportunity to learn together about these new changes, which, in turn, resulted in better outcomes for building financial stability for low-to-moderate income and majority-minority households in Maryland.
